First Holy Communion or First Eucharist is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. It is the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ Himself, the food in our journey of faith. We, in the community of Saint Joseph, are happy that you have chosen our Parish to guide you in your child’s sacramental journey.
Class Description
Previously our classes met in person either weekly or bi-weekly in one of our meeting halls on the grounds of St. Joseph. This year we have made the adjustments to teach virtually. Each class will meet on scheduled days (see class schedules) via Zoom or watch a previously prepared video hosted on our parish website. Students are expected to be present and participate in discussions on their Zoom classes. Also submit answers to questions when watching the prepared videos. In the spring of 2021 we are going to evaluate the safety of returning to in person classes. Taking into account the guidelines from the state, county and archdiocese.
Class Schedule
This is a 1 year program that meets weekly on Thursdays from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. This program is intended for High School students.
Parent Classes
It is important that faith formation continues in the home and with families outside of the Confirmation program. To help the parents with this they are required to attend a virtual class scheduled once per month with their son or daughter.
